We primarily supply high-quality seasoned hardwood logs, which are our most popular and best-value option. Seasoned logs are naturally air-dried, giving you an excellent burn, strong heat output and great efficiency for everyday use. They offer fantastic performance for log burners, stoves and open fires — all at a very affordable price. They often burn slower than kiln dried logs making them more efficient.

We also stock a smaller range of kiln-dried hardwood, which is ultra-dry and ideal for customers who want maximum heat with minimal moisture. Both options burn cleanly, but our seasoned hardwood is the go-to choice for most homes due to its quality and value.

We also supply kindling, coal, and natural BBQ charcoal.

Our standard logs are 9 inches (approx. 23cm), suitable for most log burners and stoves.

If you need a different size, we can often cut logs to order — just ask!

We offer flexible delivery to suit your home and access:

Deliveries can be tipped, dropped on driveways, or moved via barrow where possible.

Delivery is usually free within our standard radius.

We deliver up to 10 miles from Helmdon, and sometimes further depending on load size.

How dry is your firewood?

Our seasoned logs are properly air-dried and typically fall well below recommended moisture levels (20% moisture or less!).

Our kiln-dried logs are Ready to Burn certified, ensuring consistently low moisture for clean, efficient burning.

We aim to deliver your logs in the dry, but this isn’t always possible. We would recommend being on hand with a sheet or ready to stack them when they arrive!

We primarily supply hardwood such as ash, oak, beech and sycamore.
Hardwood burns hotter, cleaner and longer than softwood — ideal for homes and stoves.

They also create a great smoky flavour in the pizza oven!

We recommend storing logs:

• Off the ground

• In a well-ventilated log store. Allow for good air flow. Good airflow = good burning

• Covered on top, open on the sides

• Protected from long-term rain exposure

• Placing logs or other combustible material too near to heat sources may cause them to ignite, so make sure to store them in a safe place, away from sources of ignition

Yes — barrow bag deliveries can usually be positioned directly inside your shed, garage or log store.

Loose loads and bulk bags are dropped at an accessible spot on your property.

We also offer a log stacking service for loose loads. There is a small charge for this service. Please note we cannot carry firewood into/through your property.
